Property Overview

The Good Life

“Keeley Cottage” is a much sought after small holding with 4 acres of land, nestled down a quiet country lane, within the hamlet of Mossdale, with exceptional rural views over the breathtaking countryside.

The acreage adjoining the property has been cleverly designed, so that it offers a variety of uses. The current owners have divided the acreage into seven manageable paddocks which are all interconnected allowing ease of access and movement of livestock. Two of the paddocks are currently used for wildlife, planting and drainage. The other paddocks are used by the four Shetland ponies, a flock of sheep and chickens. This exceptional small holding doesn’t disappoint with inclusion of the large first class stable block and adjoining tack room with full services (W.C., power, light and water).

The deceptively named Keeley Cottage is far removed from what you would expect from a traditional Galloway Cottage. Instead you are welcomed by a modern and spacious 20th century low running cost family home.

It encompasses spacious and flexible living accommodation for a multi-generational household that is spread over two floors. From its tastefully decorated neutral tones and high finishes throughout, to its individually controlled underfloor heating system, the sizeable rooms each offer scope and flexibility of use. The downstairs Master Bedroom and two of the upper floored bedrooms benefit from built-in sizeable storage facilities equipped with railing and shelving. Each of the three wash room facilities have been designed for family use or business use.

The garden to the front is bounded by way of a drystone dyke. Large double wooden gates give entry to the large monoblock driveway that offers ample off-road parking for several cars and an attached large garage with electronically operated doors. There is also a separate small wooden entry gate. The garden to the front, sides and rear are a mixture of lawn, shrubs and flower beds, with the exception of the rear garden where there is a separate vegetable garden and greenhouse. Outside lighting is installed at key points around the house.

All floor coverings are included in the sale.

INTERNAL viewing is highly recommended to appreciate this first-class property.
